Our objectives

Making a difference in a child's life, creating momentum and promoting social inclusion

Our approach to sport is designed to be holistic and caring, and to encourage reflection on the issues surrounding deafness.

Our objectives for children :

  • Having fun
  • Create a healthy lifestyle (through sport)
  • Passing on values (respect, fair play, etc.)
  • Learning to work as part of a team
  • Building self-confidence and self-esteem
  • Develop motor skills related to football
  • Promoting the social inclusion of deaf and hard-of-hearing children
  • That they feel as well looked after and privileged as those who play in clubs

Please note that this activity has no competitive objective and does not push participants to perform. It's all about fun and learning.

What our school partners say about us

Would you recommend ÊKHÔ Sport's activities to another specialised or mainstream school? Would you?
Why?

Without hesitation, because the human and pedagogical qualities of Georges and the others involved make for an excellent collaboration. ÊKHÔ Sport's approach is original and very enriching for the children.

Would you recommend ÊKHÔ Sport's activities to another specialised or mainstream school? Would you?
Why?

Of course! ÊKHÔ Sport should be promoted for its benefits and adaptations to deafness, but also to raise awareness of the deaf world and culture. Deaf children often keep to themselves, and developing sporting skills while combining them with social development is not something to be overlooked.

Would you recommend ÊKHÔ Sport's activities to another special or mainstream school? If Yes, why ?

Yes, it was a positive experience this year, motivating and strengthening the bonds within the group.

Would you recommend ÊKHÔ Sport's activities to another special or mainstream school? If Yes, why ?

Yes, I would strongly recommend ÊKHÔ Sport's activities to others. They enable young people from IRSA to integrate into society and meet new people. "excluding IRSA. Spreading the word about the project would enable inter-school collaboration and, at a later date I hope, the creation of an inter-school and/or boarding school competition/tournament on Wednesday afternoons.

Would you recommend ÊKHÔ Sport's activities to another special or mainstream school? If Yes, why ?

ÊKHÔ Sport activities could be highly recommended to both special and regular schools alike. These activities promote inclusivity, diversity, and participation among all students, regardless of their abilities. By providing adaptive sports programs, techniques, and resources for creating an inclusive sports culture, ÊKHÔ Sport can support schools in fostering a positive and inclusive sports environment that benefits all students, making it a valuable resource for both special and regular schools.
