For ÊKHÔ Sport, creating lasting partnerships with schools, football clubs, sports federations and structures active in the field of social inclusion, is absolutely essential. Whether in Belgium or abroad, it is important for us to enable our young deaf and hard-of-hearing sportspeople to take part in cultural and social exchanges through sport.

The objectives of the partnerships are multiple These include setting up networks, creating links with federations, sports structures, schools, clubs, coaches and players, and facilitating the exchange of knowledge, experience and best practice between all these players. Partnerships are also a way of lead to greater awareness to this disability through sport and represents a essential support on our own initiative.

In a nutshell, it involves :

  • Networking the structures that support this initiative (local authorities, grassroots players, citizens, etc.)
  • Encourage exchanges and meetings (not only at local level but also at cross-border level)
  • Develop activities enabling these different partners to exchange information and share best practice
  • Organising visits and workshops linked to the various sporting disciplines (directly or indirectly) and to social integration themes
